General information

  • The start will be given at 7:00 am from the beach of Nuisement at Lac du Der.
  • IMPORTANT: Athletes registered for the Full Distance race will be required to leave their bikes and helmets in the transition park the day before the race. The equipment will be checked by the race marshals between 16:00 and 20:00.
  • DISTANCES : 3800m - 180km - 42km
  • Minimum age: 18 during the current year.
  • At the time of registration, non-licensed athletes will have to show their identity card and provide a medical certificate mentioning their ability to compete in a triathlon.

  • Licensed athletes must present their identity card and a valid triathlon license from an international federation.

CUT-OFF

  • Departure 7:00 am
  • Swimming: 2:15 (09:15)
  • Swimming + 1 bike lap : 5:45 (12h45)

  • Swim + bike + 3 laps run : 13:30 (20h30)
  • Swim + bike + 4 laps run : 15:00 (22h00)

Swimming - 3800m

  • Departure from the beach of Nuisement.
  • Two loops of 1900m with Australian exit.
  • Wetsuits are allowed if the temperature is below 24.5°C.
  • A wetsuit is mandatory below 16°C.
  • The maximum time is 2:15.
  • ⚠️ ATTENTION: Warming up in the water is prohibited before the start.



Bicycle - 180km

  • NON-DRAFTING race
  • Time trial bikes and extenders allowed (for more information, consult the sport rules)
  • 2 rounds of 90 km
  • D+ : 422m (1 lap)
    • 844m (2 laps)
  • Course partially closed to traffic.
  • The rules of the road apply to all participants.
  • 6 HIGH5 refuelling stations

Running - 42km

With multiple passes through the finish area, the fans will literally push the athletes to the finish line. Spectacle guaranteed!
  • 2 rounds of 21km mainly along the Lac du Der.
  • D+ : 137
  • The course is 95% asphalt and 5% road.

  • The maximum time is 15:00 to complete the entire event. (Final time = 22:00). However, athletes who have not completed their 3rd lap of the run (31.5km) within 13:30 will be stopped (i.e. at 20:30).
  • Closing of the race at 22h00.


Bibs withdrawal

Friday from 4pm to 8pm in the Openlakes village.

  • The withdrawal of the number can only be done by the athlete himself.
  • Athletes licensed with a triathlon federation MUST show their license when picking up their number.
  • Athletes not affiliated to a triathlon federation MUST provide a medical certificate specifying their ability to compete in triathlon (valid for 6 months)
  • At the time of collection of the number, the athlete MUST be in the presence of his identity card.
  • At the time of registration, the non-licensed athletes will have checked the one-day license (additional registration cost varying according to the distance). If not, the amount will be claimed at the time of withdrawal of the number.
  • You need to know your bib number: check your bib number on the registration list before picking yours up.
  • For the RELAY teams: the 3 members of the team must be present at the secretariat to collect their number.

Prizes

Prize money for the first 5 men and women in the general ranking

The athletes awarded are as follows:

  • the first 5 women of the scratch ranking
  • the first 5 men of the scratch ranking
  • the first 3 men and women in each category
  • FULL - RELAY: the first MEN team, the first WOMEN team and the first MIXED team

Awards ceremony for the podiums of each category FULL :

  • Juniors (18-19ans)  
  • Espoirs (20–23 ans)   
  • Seniors (24-39 ans) 
  • Masters A (40-49 ans) 
  • Masters B (50-59 ans) 
  • Masters C (+60 ans)
  • Masters D (+70 ans)

NOTE: Athletes who do not attend the awards ceremony will not be eligible for their awards and/or prizes.

FULL distance RELAY

The start will be given at 7:00 am (at the same time as the full solo) from the beach of Nuisement.

PRINCIPLE OF THE RELAY

  • The relay team is composed of two or three athletes.
  • During the relay race each athlete of the team must perform at least one complete discipline: Swimming, Cycling, or Running.
  •  In case of a team of two athletes, one athlete of the team will have to complete two disciplines.
  • IMPORTANT: Athletes registered for the FULL RELAY distance will have to leave their bikes and helmets in the transition park the day before the event. The equipment will be checked by the race marshals between 16:00 and 20:00.
  • DISTANCES : 3800m - 180km - 42km
  • Minimum age: 18 during the current year.
  • The 3 members of the team must be present at the secretariat for the number collection
  • At the time of registration, non-licensed athletes will have to show their identity card and provide a medical certificate mentioning their ability to compete in a triathlon.
  • Licensed athletes must present a valid license from an international triathlon federation.

THE RELAY IN PRACTICE 

  • The "relay" MUST be done IN the transition park at the location assigned for the team.
  • Only teammates passing the "relay" are allowed to be in the transition area.
  • The electronic chip acts as a "relay" and must be placed consecutively on the LEFT ankle of each runner.
