General information

  • The departure will be given at 14:30 from the banks of Lac du Der.
  • The deposit of the bike and the equipment in the transition park will be done exclusively on the day of the race between 13:00 and 14:15.
  • DISTANCES : 1500m - 40km - 11.5km
  • Minimum age: 18 during the current year.
  • At the time of registration, non-licensed athletes will have to show their identity card and provide a medical certificate mentioning their ability to compete in a triathlon.

  • Licensed athletes must present their identity card and a valid triathlon license from an international federation.

16h00-20h00 : Opening of the race secretariat (number collection)
2:00-3:00 p.m.: Swimming training
5:00-6:00 p.m.: Swimming training

16h00-18h00: Opening of the race secretariat (number collection)

07h00-20h00 : Opening of the Openlakes village
09h00-14h00 : Opening of the race secretariat - Olympic Distance
13h00-14h15: Check-in bike 
14h30 : OLYMPIC DISTANCE START

CUT-OFF

  • Departure 2:30 pm
  • Swimming : 0:50 (15h20)
  • Swimming + cycling: 2:30 (17:00)
  • Closing time of the race: 4:30 (19:00)

Swimming - 1500m

  • Departure in a single wave from the banks of the Lac du Der.
  • A 1500m lap.
  • Wetsuits are allowed if the water temperature is below 24.5°C.
  • Swimming suit is mandatory if the water temperature is below 16°C.
  • The maximum time is 0:50
  • Warming up in the water is allowed up to 30' before the start, in the area dedicated to this purpose only (outside the start area).
  • All athletes must be out of the water 10 minutes before the start.



Bike - 40km

  • Non-Drafting race
  • Time trial bikes and extenders allowed (for more information, consult the sport rules)
  • 2 rounds of 20km around the Lac du Der.
  • D+ : 140m
  • Course partially closed to traffic.
  • The rules of the road apply to all participants.
  • The maximum time is 3:00 (Swim + Bike).
  • Closing of the bike park at 17:00



Running - 11.5km

  • 2 rounds of 6.25km mostly along the Lac du Der.
  • D+ : 30m 
  • The course is 95% asphalt and 5% road.
  • 4 HIGH5 feeders
    • 1er ravitaillement : KM 1.3
    • 2ème ravitaillement : KM 4.8
    • 3ème ravitaillement : KM 6.6
    • 4ème ravitaillement : KM 10.1
  • The maximum time is 4:30 (swim + bike + run).
  • Closing of the race at 22h00.



Collection of race numbers

  • Friday, June 21 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday June 22th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Sunday, June 23 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • The withdrawal of the number can only be done by the athlete himself.
  • Athletes licensed with a triathlon federation MUST show their license when picking up their number.
  • Athletes not affiliated to a triathlon federation MUST provide a medical certificate specifying their ability to compete in triathlon (valid for 6 months)
  • At the time of collection of the number, the athlete MUST be in the presence of his identity card.
  • At the time of registration, the non-licensed athletes will have checked the one-day license (additional registration cost varying according to the distance). If not, the amount will be claimed at the time of withdrawal of the number.
  • You need to know your bib number: check your bib number on the registration list before picking yours up.

Prizes

Prize money for the first 3 men and women of the general classification

The athletes awarded are as follows:

  • DO : the first 3 women of the scratch ranking
  • DO : the first 3 men of the scratch ranking
  • DO: the top 3 men and women in each category

Awards for the podiums in each category:

  • Juniors (18-19ans)  
  • Espoirs (20–23 ans)   
  • Seniors (24-39 ans) 
  • Masters A (40-49 ans) 
  • Masters B (50-59 ans) 
  • Masters C (+60 ans)
  • Masters D (+70 ans)

NOTE: Athletes who do not attend the awards ceremony will not be eligible for their awards and/or prizes.
