- Until when are registrations open?

• Openlakes Belgium: It is possible to register until 16/09/2025 subject to availability.
  

- What does the registration fee include?

The price you pay includes registration, administration fee, participant gift and finisher medal.

- Am I registered correctly?

You can check if you are properly registered viathe list of registrants for the Openlakes Belgium. 

- Can I register for 2 different distances?

Yes, it is possible to participate in 2 different events at the same time.

- What if my distance is complete and I am not registered?

You can register on the waiting list. You will be informed if a place becomes available, depending on cancellations.

- I am responsible for a club, is it possible to make a group registration?

Tout club qui souhaite participer avec un minimum de 20 membres, peut bénéficier d'une remise de 10% sur le tarif d'inscription. Pour cela, une inscription groupée est demandée. Pour ce faire, contactez-nous à l'adresse info@openlakes.eu en précisant l'évènement concerné (OPENLAKES Champagne, Belgium, Atlantique, Lyon Métropole).

- I want to change some data in my registration, can I do it?

Yes, it is possible to make changes via the rider area received in the confirmation email.

- Can I change my distance?

All distance transfer requests will be accepted via the e-mail address :  info@openlakes.eu 

• In case of distance downgrade, the difference in registration fee cannot be refunded.
• For any request to increase the distance, the difference in registration fees between the two distances must be paid via bank transfer in order for the registration to be validated.

Changes made on the day of the event are subject to an additional fee, which will depend on the chosen distance.

- Can I transfer my registration to another athlete?

Yes, you can do it yourself via your runner's area on the Njuko platform.

Attention, this transfer must be done for :

• Openlakes Belgium: September 18, 2025

Steps to transfer your race bib:

1. Log in to your Njuko account.
2. In the "TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION" section, click on the box marked “email” and enter the email address of the person you wish to transfer your bib to.
3. Then click on "TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION", located just below.
4. The new participant will receive an email and must follow the instructions provided.

Once these steps are completed, the transfer will be finalized.

Regarding payment: The payment must be settled directly between you and the new participant. The new participant will only have to pay the transfer fee to the platform (which varies depending on the race distance), as well as for any non-transferable options

- What documents do I need to show when I pick up my number?

• If you have a license, you must obligatorily present your identity card as well as your triathlon license.
• If you do not have a license, you must obligatorily present your identity card and subscribe to the one-day insurance.

My child is a minor and does not have a licence . What does he or she need to provide to take part in an Openlakes Belgium race?

For unlicensed minors participating in Promo, MFTE, Teens, Kids or Mini races, the following documents are required:

• Parental consent,
• A competition pass (daily insurance to be taken out via Njuko),
• A medical certificate signed by a doctor, confirming fitness for competitive sport.

Who can take part in this event ? 

Everyone can participate as long as they meet the minimum age required for each race.

- Are there time limits for each discipline?

Yes, each race has its own time limits. You can find all the information under the "time limit" tab of the respective race.

- What happens if I exceed the time limit?

If you exceed the time limit for an event, the referees will make the decision not to let you compete in the next event.

- Is the neoprene swimming suit mandatory?

Wearing a wetsuit is mandatory if the water temperature is below 16°C.

Wearing a wetsuit is not mandatory if the water temperature is between 16°C and 23°C.

Above 23°C, wearing a wetsuit is prohibited.

- What is the temperature of the water?

A temperature reading will be taken on the morning of the event. We cannot predict the temperature in advance. The final decision on whether or not to wear a wetsuit will be made on the day of the race.

- How to download the different courses?

GPX files for the different races can be downloaded by following these steps:

• Go to the Races tab
• Click on your race
• Click on the "Info and route" tab
• Click the "View on OpenRunner" button
• The OpenRunner website page will open
• Click "Download for a GPS"

- How can I become a volunteer?

Want to join the volunteer team? It couldn’t be easier ! Visit the volunteering page for all the details.

- Can I access the transition park with a backpack?

Any type of bag is forbidden inside the transition park. Only a plastic box with a maximum size of L45, H25, W35 is allowed to store your personal equipment. You must bring your own plastic box, it is not possible to get one on site.

- Are extension cords allowed?

Extenders are allowed because these are events where drafting is prohibited.

Is drafting allowed?

Drafting is not allowed in any event. You must keep a minimum distance of 10 meters between the leading edge of your front wheel and the front wheel of the bike you are following.

Drafting is only allowed during the sprint (S) at Openlakes Belgium.

- I registered as a group, how can I get my number back?

There are 2 options to get your number via a group:

• The group leader collects the bibs for all group members.
• Each group member picks up their own bib individually.
